I have problems to add a phone number
The number needs to be added as two parts: the country prefix, starting with a + before the -, the number (without a leading 0) after the -.
For example, in the US, your county code is +1. This means for the "add number" dialog, you need to put the +1 in front of the - as the country code. Then you add the number you want to call, without the leading 0, after the -.
We know that this is not really easy to use. We are working on a version where one can simply select the number from the addressbook. This is a bit difficult as Skype wants the country prefix (the +1), but often people don't have those in the adress book.
Will it allow others to call me on my skype account when I don't have WiFi?
Yes. What the program does it to provide a simple (and much more practical) user interface to set the phone-forwarding feature of Skype than using the account page at skype.com. (That's very unpractical on the tiny phone screen).
If you put the number of your iPhone as a forwarding number, Skype calls will be forwarded to the phone. Keep in mind that you pay standard skype rate of calling a cellphone for this. In addition, if you are in a foreign country, you might pay roaming charges like any other incoming phone call.
Will your program allow me to call using Skype when not connected to WiFi-- that is, over my 3g connection?
No, our program can't help with that.
The app seems to be very slow, for example logging in or changing a forward number.
Skype Fwd logs into the Skype account website. This takes a while especially when skype.com is slow or when your connection is slow. This will directly influence the performance of the application. We are exploring if it is possible to speed thing up a little, but the bottleneck seems to be the account website, not Skype Fwd.
I am using Skype Fwd via a slow edge data connection and it does not seem to work.
When using Skype Fwd via a very slow connection, it will take a long time. We are working on detecting such cases and on making it possible to abort all operations.
Do I really have to enter user/passwd data the other way around as indicated in a comment of the US App-store?
We can not not reproduce this problem. If you have the same problem, please send us a mail!
Can I use Skype Fwd to configure forwarding to Skype voicemail?
Not directly. If you have turned on voice-mail, disabling all forwards will make all calls go the voice mail, though. We are evaluating if it is possible to add better support for voice-mail in the future.
